Substitutions
- Beans - Alternate beans to add flavor. I've used cannellini beans, chick peas, and kidney beans in this recipe.
- Corn - I prefer frozen corn in this dish. A mixture of white and yellow corn helps to add color and flavor variety.
- Bell Pepper - Try adding green, yellow, or orange bell pepper for a pop of color!
- Lime - I recommend freshly squeezed lime juice over the bottled variety.
- Cilantro - I would only use fresh cilantro only in this dish.
- Avocado - Only add fresh avocado if you are consuming this dish within one hour of serving.
- Chips - Pita chips can be substituted for tortilla chips.
