Burrata Caprese Salad with Heirloom Tomatoes

Gorgeous heirloom tomatoes , creamy burrata cheese, and fresh basil are the three primary ingredients in this beautiful Burrata Caprese Salad that can be served as an appetizer or stand-alone. Add some sweet balsamic glaze and your guests will be ready to dive in!

2 large Heirloom Tomatoes 2 ball(s) Burrata Cheese 12 qty Fresh Basil Leaves ¼ teaspoon Salt (or to taste) ¼ teaspoon Pepper (or to taste)
Wash heirloom tomatoes well and then cut them into nice, even slices.
Slice open burrata cheese.
On a serving platter, layer one tomato slice, followed by a heaping spoon of burrata cheese, then fresh basil. Repeat layers as needed.
Sprinkle the burrata caprese with salt and pepper. Drizzle balsamic glaze all over the top and serve immediately.
Storage: Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for 1-2 days.
Freeze: This dish is not freezer friendly.
Substitutions:
Cheese - Buffalo mozzarella makes a good replacement for burrata.
Tomatoes - A good quality garden tomato would work well if you can't find heirloom tomatoes.
