Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Drain the Little Smokies well and pat them completely dry with paper towels.
Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles. Using a pizza cutter or sharp knife, cut each triangle lengthwise into 3 narrow strips, creating long, tapered pieces of dough. You will have about 48 strips, leaving a few extras.
Starting at the wide end, gently stretch each strip and wrap it around one Little Smoky, overlapping the dough slightly while leaving a small portion of each end exposed. Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water. Brush each pig in a blanket lightly with the egg wash.
Sprinkle evenly with the Everything Bagel seasoning, gently pressing any loose seasoning onto the dough if needed.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the crescents are puffed and golden brown.
Let cool for 2 to 3 minutes before serving warm with honey mustard, Dijon mustard, spicy mustard, or ketchup.
Notes
Tips:
Patting the Little Smokies dry helps the dough adhere and bake evenly.
Stretching the dough strips creates a lighter, flakier wrap instead of a thick, bready coating.
The egg wash gives the crescents a shiny, bakery-style finish and helps the Everything Bagel seasoning stick.
Rotate the baking sheet halfway through baking if your oven browns unevenly.
Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a 350°F oven for 5 to 7 minutes or a 325°F air fryer for 3 to 5 minutes, until warmed through and crisp.Chef's Note: Cutting each crescent triangle into three narrow strips creates the ideal balance of flaky pastry and smoky sausage. You may have a few extra dough strips depending on the exact number of Little Smokies in the package. Bake the extra strips with a sprinkle of Everything Bagel seasoning for a tasty snack.
