Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Drain the Little Smokies well and pat them completely dry with paper towels.
Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles. Using a pizza cutter or sharp knife, cut each triangle lengthwise into 3 narrow strips, creating long, tapered pieces of dough. You will use 40 thin strips, leaving a few extras.
Starting at the wide end, gently wrap it around one Little Smoky, overlapping the dough slightly while leaving a small portion of each end exposed. Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water. Brush each pig in a blanket lightly with the egg wash.
Sprinkle evenly with the Everything Bagel seasoning, gently pressing any loose seasoning onto the dough if needed.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the crescents are puffed and golden brown.
Let cool for 2 to 3 minutes before serving warm with honey mustard, Dijon mustard, spicy mustard, or ketchup.

Notes
Cooking NotesCutting each crescent triangle into three narrow strips creates the ideal balance of flaky pastry and smoky sausage. Because a package of Little Smokies usually contains about 40 sausages while the crescent dough yields more strips, you'll likely have enough dough leftover for five whole crescents. Bake the extras with Everything Bagel seasoning for a tasty snack.Tips for Best Results
Pat the Little Smokies dry before wrapping so the dough sticks securely.
Stretch each dough strip slightly as you wrap for an even, flaky crust.
Brush on the egg wash before adding the seasoning so it adheres well.
Let the pigs in a blanket cool for 2 to 3 minutes before serving so the dough finishes setting.
How to Know It's ReadyThe crescent dough should be evenly puffed and deep golden brown with no pale or doughy spots. The Little Smokies should be hot throughout, and the Everything Bagel seasoning should look lightly toasted.
