September has been a bit stagnant for our blog’s growth. While we’ve been busy developing a few new recipes, we haven’t posted much. Instead, we’ve focused on making minor updates to our socials and pinning fresh pins, which has been helpful in keeping things moving behind the scenes.

Managing Through Hurricane Season

Living in Florida during hurricane season means always being prepared, and this month we had to make a minor evacuation due to being in an A flood zone. Thankfully, we were able to return home with minimal disruption, but it did take some focus away from the blog.

We’re hoping for more stability in October so we can get back into the flow of posting.

Accomplishments in September

While it hasn’t been the most productive month in terms of new content, we’ve still managed to stay active in small ways:

  • Recipe Development: We’ve been working behind the scenes on several new recipes that we look forward to sharing soon.
  • Pinterest Growth: Pinterest remains a reliable traffic source, even without much new content. It’s been encouraging to see our pins continue to bring in new visitors.
  • Category Pages: We’ve organized seasonal recipes into new category pages for fall, making it easier for readers to find autumn-inspired dishes like soups, stews, and cozy dinners. These pages help boost SEO while offering a better experience for our visitors.
  • Opened an LLC: We took important steps by officially establishing our blog as an LLC and securing a business credit card to support future financial needs and growth.

Pinterest Traffic Success

Pinterest continues to drive consistent traffic to our blog. Even with minimal updates this month, our pins have maintained strong performance, steadily bringing in new visitors and keeping engagement levels up.
