Instructions

  • Using a small knife, score a smaller circle about ยฝ inch inside the edge of each puff pastry circle, being careful not to cut all the way through. Prick the interior of the smaller circle with a fork to prevent it from puffing up.
  • In a medium bowl, beat together the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Place about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each puff pastry circle, within the scored area.
  • Brush the edges of the puff pastry circles with the beaten egg.
