Expert Tips for Success

👩‍🍳Jami's Pro Tips: Want to take this recipe to the next level? Check out my expert tips below for the best flavor, texture, and meal prep hacks!

✔️ DO Use English cucumbers for their thin skin and mild flavor. Peel regular cucumbers for better texture.
✔️ DO Salt cucumbers first to remove excess moisture, then rinse and pat dry to prevent a watery salad.
✔️ DO Prep veggies and dressing ahead, but mix just before serving for maximum freshness.
✔️ DO Adjust seasoning to taste—balance dill, lemon juice, sugar, and salt to your preference.

Storage

The Creamy Cucumber Radish Salad can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. However, it's best enjoyed fresh for optimal flavor and crunch. This dish is not freezer friendly.

Recipe FAQs

Can I use regular cucumbers instead of English cucumbers?

Yes, you can use regular cucumbers. Just make sure to peel them before slicing.

Can I make the dressing ahead of time?

Absolutely! The dressing can be prepared ahead and stored in the refrigerator until you're ready to toss it with the vegetables.

How do you prepare radishes for a salad?

To prepare radish for a salad, wash and trim the radishes, removing the greens and roots. Slice or dice the radishes according to your preference, and incorporate them into the salad along with other ingredients.

Can I use regular yogurt instead of Greek yogurt in the dressing?

While Greek yogurt is recommended for its creamy and tangy consistency, you can substitute it with regular yogurt if needed. Keep in mind that regular yogurt tends to be thinner, so the dressing may be slightly less creamy. It also has a different flavor profile.
